Obituary of Gumecindo Perez

Of Flint, age 77, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 12:00noon Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Ezequiel Torres will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 12:00noon until 8:00pm, with a rosary service at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gumecindo was born August 15, 1933 in Beeville, Texas the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gumecindo and Fernanda (Gonzales) Perez. He and Dominga J. Moreno were united in marriage March 2, 1984. He will be remembered for being a good man and his love of music, AaA"Music is a beautiful thing.AaA Gumecindo leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 26 years, Dominga; twelve children, Gilberto Perez, Julia Perez-Stutso, Fernando Perez, Elainea AaA"HelenAaA Perez, Joseph San Miguel, Jr., Rosemary Vizcaino, Richard San Miguel, Dodie Rodriguez, Michael San Miguel, and Linda Sanchez; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lucio Perez, Cornelio Perez, Ricardo and wife, Helen Perez, and Andres and wife, Yolanda Perez; three sisters, Jacinta and husband, Ricardo Quintanilla, Narcissa Vasquez, Otilia Brank; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and step-son, Roger San Miguel.
