Obituary of Patricia M Kolena

Of Flint, age 74, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Brians House Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will take place, 10:00am Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the SS Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Gerald Ploof will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. On Saturday, Pat will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 9:00am until time of Mass at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be considered to BrianAaas House. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Pat was born March 4, 1936 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Susan (Banyas) Schlee. She and John Kolena were united in marriage April 23, 1955. Pat retired from Kmart with over 25 years of service. Pat leaves to cherish her memory three children, Debra and husband Martin Cronkright Sr., Thomas and Renee Kolena, and John Kolena, five grandchildren, Martin Jr., and wife Teresa Cronkright, Jeremy Cronkright, Stephanie Cronkright, Maria Kolena, and Norman Kolena, four great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Chassidy, Meah, and Ethan, special brother, Jim and wife Bev Schlee, special niece, Jenna and husband Mike Wilk and their son Wyatt, and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, daughter, Mary Kaye Kolena, and one granddaughter, Melissa K. Cronkright.
