Obituary of Richard Lee Taylor

Of Mt. Morris, age 72, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. Richard's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, 11:00am to 8:00pm, Sunday, 1:00pm to 8:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Richard "Pecker" was born January 21, 1938 in Clio, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester and Genevieve (Tolles) Taylor. He and Margaret E. Gifford were united in marriage June 12, 1970 in Clio. Richard AaA"PeckerAaA enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, bowling and playing softball. Richard leaves to cherish his memory, wife Margaret, five children, Richard Lee, Jr., and wife Diane, Steve and wife Linda, Jeff and wife Chris, Bill and wife Michelle, Lori and husband Mike; 11 grandchildren, Gary, Andrea, Nikki, Nick, Sara, Keith, Jacob, Monica, Christopher, Trevor, Teddy; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene and husband Dale, Janice and husband Elmer, and one brother, Eugene and wife Edna, two brother-in-laws, Don Gifford and Norman and wife Peg, several nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Marge, father-in-law Clyde and mother-in-law Lillian.
