Of Gladwin, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 93, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at home.. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park, with graveside Military Honors conducted by the VFW #1452. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00noon to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Monday from 12:00noon until time of service at 2:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to the VFW #1452. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lloyd was born November 2, 1916 in Harlan County, Kentucky the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel and Laura (King) Daniel. He and June Sawyer were united in marriage April 27, 1938. Lloyd was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United State Army Tour in Europe. He worked at Buick Motor Division for 31 years before retiring in 1975. He and his wife June owned and operated JuneAaas Floral Shop for 21 years, before retiring. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and World War II history. Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory his daughter,Juanita M. Daniel grandchildren, Robert II, Matthew, Christopher and wife Ashley, Joshua, David, Jeremy and Kayla, great-grandchildren; Jacob, Annalyse, and Gracelyn brother, Glen and wife Lenore Daniel, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife June, son, Robert and wife Michelle Daniel, and seven brothers and sisters.
