Obituary of Ann Colosky

Of Mayville, age 72, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Martin Funeral Home - Vassar. Pastor David Burkett will officiate, with cremation to follow. Ann's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Ann was born September 20, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mearreal and Geraldine (Honald) LaPratt. She and Ted Colosky were united in marriage October 13, 1970, in Brooklyn, Michigan. Sadly Ted preceded her in death December 29, 2007. Ann worked as a Dietitian for Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro for many years until her retirement on March 18, 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, oil painting, playing the guitar, singing, telling jokes, yard work, watching and feeding birds. Left to cherish her memory five children, Ted, Jr. (Deb) Colosky, Lisa (Tom) LeFevre, Mike (Melissa) Colosky, Moe (Shirley) Molnar and Kristal Ivanic; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five siblings; dear friends and neighbors Mary (Arland) Draper; her dog Ponch; and many other family members and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted, son Jeff, great-granddaughter Olivia Colosky and her brother Jim LaPratt.
