Obituary of Charles Albert Palmer

Of Flint, age 86, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at BrianAaas House in Davison. The funeral service will take place, 11:00am, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church. Pastor Keith Childerhose will officiate with burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. On Tuesday, Charles will be taken to church where he will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am.Memorial contributions may be made to the Brian's House Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Charles was born February 25, 1924 in Traverse City, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Vila (Brimmer) Palmer. He and Bertha Gillam were united in marriage June 20, 1952. Charles was a self employed Master Carpenter and was the Business Agent for the Carpenter's Union. Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter June Camp,five brothers, Niles and wife, Wilma, Ramon and wife, Mary Lou, Douglas and wife, Rosa, Richard and wife, Marion, and Dale; three sisters, Betty Cromwell, Esther Keel, Coralie Christensen; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years, Bertha; daughter, Sharon Buchan, brother Clyde; and sister, Amarallys Miller.
