Obituary of David William Alexander

Of Mt. Morris, age 61, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at his home. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Sunday, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harmony Free Will Baptist Church envelopes are available at the funeral home. David was born March 28, 1952, in Flint, the son of Earl Robert and Anna (Bonnenna) Alexander. He was employed by General Motors for over 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are children, Stacie and husband, Tom Nordstrom and Aimie Alexander; grandsons, Cody and Gavin Nordstrom; brothers, Leonard and wife, Julie Alexander, Robert Alexander and Lawrence Alexander; close friends; Kathy Alexander and Mick Fitchett; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy and sister, Diane.
