Obituary of Ray Albert Myers

Of Flint, age 67, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place, 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00am to 8:00pm, and Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to a family fund, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ray was born March 28, 1943 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Bessie (Riley) Myers. He and Connie Dennis were united in marriage June 17, 1966. Ray worked for the City of Flint for 25 years, retiring in August of 1990. Ray leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Connie, four sons; Charles Myers, Troy Myers, Stanley Myers, and Paul and wife Dawn Myers, and daughter Corena and husband Mike Pate, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers; Bob and wife Joyce Myers, Jake Myers, Roy Myers, and Clyde and wife Grace Myers, and sister Dorothy and husband Jerry Smeja, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
