Obituary of Roger Lee Garey

Of Grand Blanc, age 73, died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place, 3:00pm, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00am until time of service at 3:00pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Roger was born July 15, 1937 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Letha (Fonger) Garey. He and Joyce Frazier were united in marriage on August 18, 1984. Roger worked for DuPont for over 31 years, retiring in 1996.
Roger leaves to cherish his memory his wife Joyce,children, Kim Edgcombe, Neil and wife Kim Garey, Charles and wife Danita Balderstone, Terri and husband Ernest Blood, and James Balderstone and Carolyn, 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Sharon Garey, brother Dennis and wife Linda Garey, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
