Obituary of Maxine Trevarrow

Of Kentwood formerly of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Spectrum Health Continuing Care in Grand Rapids. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at funeral home on Friday, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and Saturday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Maxine was born March 22, 1919 in Marion, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Anna (Hanes) Phelps. She and Christopher Trevarrow were united in marriage January 18, 1937 in Flint. He preceded her in death January 23, 1975. Maxine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, horseback riding, ice skating and fishing. Maxine leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Joyce Lash; daughters-in-law, Janice Chappell and Mary Trevarrow;13 siblings, 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friend, Helen Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Christopher; two sons, Richard and Christopher, Jr; granddaughter, Maxine and brothers and sisters.
