Obituary of Patricia A. Cole

Of Hale, Michigan, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away on February 3, 2011 at Iosco Medical Care Facility in Tawas, Michigan at 75 years of age. Pat was born May 23, 1935 in Mt. Morris to Ralph and Irene (nee Bryan) Newman. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1953. She married Herbert Ross Cole in 1981 and retired to Hale in 1983. She was a charter member and past madam president of the Hale Eagles #4217. She was a long time member of the American Legion Aux. #342 and proud member of the ABC Bowling ASSCOAaas 600 Club. Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband, Ross of Hale. Daughter, Denise (Robb) Hubbs of Tecumseh, Michigan and sons, Jim (Cindy) Goff of Clio, Michigan, Jerry (Syd) Goff of St. Petersburg, Florida and Brian Goff of Venturia, Florida. Grandchildren, Cory, Neil and Ryan Hubbs, Cody Szemites, Sarah Goff, Alex Goff and three great grandchildren. One sister, Marie Showalter of Pennsylvania and in-laws, Margaret Newman, Jerry and Mickey Cole, Jack and Donna Kessler. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Adle and brothers, Vernon, Jerry and Clyde Newman and her first husband, Acil Goff. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Miles Martin Funeral Home, 1194 E. Mount Morris Rd,. Mount Morris, MI 48458. The family will receive friends Friday from 3-8 P.M. at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 S. Washington with an Eagles service at 7:00 P.M. and Saturday 3-8 P.M. at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Private burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the Hale Eagles #4217 Charity Fund. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the people at Iosco Medical Facility.
