Obituary of Carmen Sue DeSander

Of Flint, age 46, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 12:00noon, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Jeffery Hawkins will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00noon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the DeSander Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Carmen was born April 21, 1964 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Sharon (Green) DeSander. She was a long time member of Price of Peace Missionary Baptist Church and recently AGAPE Faith Fellowship Church in Birch Run. Carmen leaves to cherish her memory, her life companion, Larry Roberts, three daughters, Melanie and husband Dennis Rawls, Miranda DeSander, and Erica Snead, one step daughter, Natasha Roberts, four step sons, Larry Roberts Jr., Brandon Adams, Damond Snead, and Richard Weston, 10 grandchildren, mother, Sharon DeSander, three sisters, Mary Barber, Deborah Erway, and Cindy and husband Felix Caballero and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larrie DeSander Sr.,two brothers, Larrie DeSander Jr., and Patrick DeSander step father, Andy Hauser and her grandparents.
