Obituary of Geneva Deloney

Of Mt. Morris, age 76, passed quietly from this world on Feb. 25, 2011 into the arms of her husband Hap to dance in Heaven. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, February 28, 2011 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. GenevaAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. On Sunday Evening family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children Hospital or American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. She was born February 4, 1935 to William and Daisy Creager. She and Hap were united in marriage on ValentineAaas Day in 1953. Hap preceded her in death April 15, 2006. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching the Detroit Tigers, Game Show Network and Walker Texas Ranger. Geneva leaves to cherish her memory, seven children; Bill (Kay) Deloney, Greg (Connie) Deloney, Chris (Kristen) Deloney, Jerry Deloney, Sherry (Paul) Straus, Cathy Deloney, Elsie (Matt) Kelly; daughter-in-law, Monica Deloney, 16 grandchildren; Bryan, Nicole, Krysta, Rachel, Kelley, Matt, Erin, Marcus, Tara, Garrett, Dani Jo, Stephanie, Sarah, Allison, Zach and Jeremy, 10 great-grandchildren; John, Alexis, Jacob, Brandon, Sabrina, RAAmy, Caleb, Adrianna and Clayton and one on the way whom she will be watching over. Sister, Millie Fettes, sister-in-law, Alyce Kozlowski Doran, and many close friends and family members; and her dog, Chip who was always by her side. Those waiting to greet her in heaven are her husband, Hap, son, John, her parents, sister, Gladys, and brother, Clifton.
