Obituary of Lewis Baumgart

Of Flint, age 77, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lewis was born August 27, 1933 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen and Lula (Meer) Baumgart. He and Ella Long were united in marriage October 5, 1952. Lewis worked at Buick-Flint for 38 years until his retirement in 1992. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 59 years, Ella; six children, Rose and husband, Daniel Bailey, Marguerite and husband, Robert Dell, Delia Seaton, Lewis Baumgart, Jr., Rhonda Baumgart, and Michael Baumgart and girlfriend, Paulette Jackson; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; pride and joy, Angel; best friend, Jim Miller; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior and Ed; and sister, Dorothy.
