Obituary of William D. Bachman

Of Grand Blanc Township, age 63, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will take place 6:00pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 3:00pm until the time of service 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to Avalon Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. William "Bill" was born July 28, 1947 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo and Ann (Baker) Bachman. He and Sherry Love were united in marriage August 4, 1973. Bill served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, serving as a radio officer. He then worked for General Motors-Buick for 34 years, until he retired in 2000. William leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Sherry; Chris and wife, Amanda Bachman and Amy and husband, Andy Trudeau; six grandchildren, Keely, Asa, and Keira Bachman and Gabe, Gwendolyn, and Grace Trudeau; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Caroline and husband, Perry Ward and Charlotte Santure, and nephew, Kenny Santure.
