Obituary of Arlene Morrell

Of Gladwin, age 88, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Harlin Assisted Living. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor John Hart will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Arlene's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Arlene was born June 6, 1922 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Hilda (Johnson) Hilgendorf. She and Verne Morrell were united in marriage May 31, 1941. He preceded her in death October 1, 1966. Arlene worked for A/C Spark Plug for 30 years before retiring in 1979 and was a member of UAW Local #659. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her birthday club friends, traveling to Florida, reading, puzzles, crocheting, shopping and going out to eat.
