Obituary of Louis Glenn Seney

Of Saginaw, formerly of Vassar, age 86, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Aleda E. Lutz, VA Medical Center. The funeral service will take place, 1:00pm, Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Max McCloud will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Friday from 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Glenn was born April 23, 1925 in Vassar, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Lulu (Williamson) Seney. He and Lois Hemingway were united in marriage on November 9, 1946. She preceded him in death on December 16, 1988. Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for First State Bank of Vassar for 20 plus years. He would then go to work for Dr. David Blossom as an Office Manager and X-Ray Technician until his retirement. On February 14, 1992 Glenn was united in marriage to Phyllis Lewis. In his free time, Glenn enjoyed camping, traveling, photography and playing Scrabble. Glenn leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 19 years, Phyllis, five children, Janet Seney Hecht, Daniel and wife Shirley Seney, Mark and wife Leroux Seney, Diane Seney Haley, and Philip and wife Colleen Seney, nine grandchildren, Sheila Eddy, Shawn Williams, Matthew Eddy, Alisha Carll, Joshua Seney, Rachel Baron, Chad Seney, Levi Haley, and Jeremy Ferguson, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Frances Goff, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Lois Hemingway Seney, daughter, Patricia Seney Haley, great-granddaughter, Danielle Tausch, and three brothers, James, Lloyd and Gene.
