Obituary of Charles F. Collier

Of Birch Run, age 75, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at St. Mary Hospital. The Home Going Celebration will take place, 2:00pm, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Lamb of God Church in Montrose. Mr. Ben Hobson will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Lamb of God Church in Montrose on Saturday, from 1:00pm until time of service at 2:00pm. Charles was born February 7, 1936 in Unionville, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fay and Marion (Marker) Collier. He and Bonnie Schneider were united in marriage October 4, 1958, in Clio. Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. Chuck worked for General Motors for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, flying airplanes, racing cars, traveling and spending time with his family. He lead many people to the Lord. Chuck leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Bonnie, three daughters, Shawn and husband Eddie Daniel, Kathryn and husband Jimmy Curtis and Jinell and husband Mike Timbs, four grandchildren, Jessica Curtis, Jerrod Curtis, Charles Austin Daniel and Ciara Daniel, three sisters, Vivian Emmendorfer, Lena and husband Ray Hipkins, and Esther and husband Bob Malone and many nieces, nephews and friends.
