Obituary of Walter R Drwal

Of Clio, age 49, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at home. The funeral service will take place, 10:00am Friday, August 12, 2011 at the All Saints Catholic Church in Flint. Rev. Fr. Anthony P. Majchrowski will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, from 11:00am to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm. On Thursday evening family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 7pm, followed by a Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council #4285 and Leon J. Satkowiak # 0524 3rd and 4th Degree Service. On Friday, Walter will be taken to church where he will lie in state from 9:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to an educational fund for his children. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Walter was born April 8, 1962 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Darlene (Nichols) Drwal. He and Christina Martin were united in marriage November 21, 1992.He worked as a Neuropsychologist in the Flint and Detroit areas and a Professor of Psychology at Mott Community College. Walter leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Christina, two children, Nickolas Eugene and Alexandria Nicole, mother, Darlene Drwal, grandmother, Reatha Nichols, sister, Melody Drwal, and her children, Brandi and Jonathan , two brothers, Darcy and wife Heidi Drwal, and their daughters, Holly and Heather, and Jason and wife Kariann Drwal, father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Michele Martin, brother-in-law, Eugene Martin, and daughter, Megan, and sister-in-law, Jodi and husband Jeremie Montgomery, and their son Traver and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Christine Drwal and his father, Walter Drwal.
