Obituary of Beatress Brock

Of Mt. Morris, age 76, died Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Brians House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mount Morris. Elder James Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm and Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Brian's House Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Beatress was born June 18, 1935, in Millington, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon and Hazel (Benjamin) Green. She and Jerry Brock were united in marriage October 20, 1956; he preceded her in death December 17, 2004. Beatress loved her family and showed it; she will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are son, Randy Brock; daughter, Holly Dorr; seven sisters, Grace Hannan, Florence Edmonds, Joyce Miller, Edna and husband, Bud Carlson, Marie and husband, Jim Eddy, Dorothy and husband, Fred Staley, and Kathy Currier; two brothers, Ray and wife, Tina Green and Andrew Green; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Jerry; sister, Lillian Robinson; and son-in-law, Arnold Dorr.
