Obituary of Frances Lorraine Bailey

of Otisville age 77 died at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Huntington's Foundation. Frances was born July 13, 1936, in Searight, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Amanda (Butt) Bloom. She and Victor Bailey were united in marriage on February 12, 1955, in Flint, Michigan. Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an outstanding cook, who cooked for many events for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing the piano, listening to music, doing word search and roller skating. Left to cherish her memory are seven children, John (Melissa) Bailey, Robin Johnson, Shirley Englemann, Susan (Mike) Rutledge Victoria (Jeff) Taylor, Barry (Stacy) Bailey and Amanda Jean Blackmore; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Carlson, Marge Brady, Bonita Brady and Gertrude Powe, and many nieces; nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Victor; daughter, Amanda Beth; son-in-law, Mark Engelmann; great-granddaughter, Dakota Atkinson; and sister, Ethel Wells.
