Obituary of Robert J Allis

Of Montrose, age 63, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center . The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Michael Stark will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00am to 8:00pm, and on Thursday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donation may be considered to Toys for Tots, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Robert was born July 25, 1946, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert and Fern (Ray) Allis. He and Sherry Pease were united in marriage May 17, 1969, in Mt. Morris. Robert worked at AC Spark Plug and Delphi for 39 years, retiring in 2006. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Christi and husband Jim Crane, and Cindy and husband Jim Abrams, five grandchildren, Jamie Cross, Brittnie Cross, and fiance Josh Patterson, Caitlin Cross, Matthew Abrams, and Jimmie Crane, and great granddaughter Almira expected in November, brother Ray Allis, brother in law Jim and wife Rose Pease, special friends Dee and Shirley Daniels, John Daniels, and lady friend Norma Van Etten. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Sherry.
