Dear Mary, Kevin, Rick, Mike and Pat: We are so sorry to hear of Freds passing. Kristie and I have nothing but good memories of Fred picking up Kristie and taking her to your home where she was loved and spoiled. Papa Deaver was wrapped around her little finger. It was so unfortunate that we moved so far away to California when she was seven and then the visits were only 2 weeks during the summer. He will be fondly remembered and missed. Sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I worked with Fred at Conlee's on Mill St. back in the early 70's, and he was a very fun person to work with!!! He was quite a jokester, and had a good imagination for some of the pranks we did. I always used to see him at VG's, and we would stand and chat about old times.....he will most certainly be missed by many!!!

We all at Vg's store in Clio were sad to hear the news on Fred. He was a very nice man and visited us almost daily. He was like family to us. We enjoyed his visits and will miss him dearly. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Hello, My name is Mike Quick. My father Earl was Freds cousin.His mother was Viola Deaver from Dillon S.C. Some years ago I found out Fred had a video tape of the Quicks and Deavers. Out of the blue I called him and he invited me over. We spoke for some time about the family.This was important to me as I was compiling data on the family tree.. Fred was generous with his time and offered to lend me the tape so I could record it. Fred was a truly nice guy. It is good to know he is part of the family tree.

Neil and Ginny will miss Fred at the Moose Lodge, where we enjoyed conversation about his time in the military life, and his family, his sons and wife. He had a great personality, and enjoyed all of his friends at the Moose.
