Obituary of Maraline Joan Foster

Of Crystal, formerly of Flint, age 71, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at her home. The funeral service will take place 6:00 pm, Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Mrs. Judy Teegardin will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Sparrow Hospice Services. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Maraline was born November 10, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Josephine (Brelinski) Getcy. She and Merle Foster were united in marriage January 19, 1957. Maraline loved to play cards and watching the wild life. She and Merle loved to travel and they had a good life, with many happy years. Maraline was always warm, welcoming and a friend to all. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Left to her memory are husband of 54 years, Merle; four children, Gay Ann Foster and fiance, Larry Girard, Cheryl Lorenz and boyfriend, Craig Almassy, Frank and wife, Vickie Foster and Mary Jo and husband, Jason Biddle; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Jonathan, Chrystal, John, Amber, Frank, Jr., Andrew, Kristen, Amanda, Scott and Cody; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Getcy; special friends, Jerry and Judy Teegardin and Jim and Mezzy Senical; and many nephews, nieces and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Foster; and sister, Shirley Pfeiffer.
