Of Clio, age 69, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Brians House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Carl Halquist will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Saturday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Roger was born November 21, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira and Dorothy (Curry) Perry Sr. He and Donna J. Stephenson were united in marriage January 12, 1963, in Newberry, Michigan. He worked for General Motors for 40 years, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling. Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Donna; two daughters, Jeanne and husband, Drew Gipson, and Amy Perry; five grandchildren, Kristi and husband, Jason Sutton, Justin and wife, Kallie Perry, Michelle and husband,, Travis Toso, Kathy Moreland and Drew and wife, Carrie Gipson; great-grandchildren, Dilan and Chloe Sutton, Mark, Alyssa, and Kaylee Toso, Andrew, Ashlynn, Ethan and Elaina Gipson, CJ, Todd, Abby, and Aron Moreland, mother, Dorothy "Tena" Schwesinger; two brothers, Charles and wife, Lynda Perry and Leo Schwesinger; sister, Ann and husband Hank Voth; adopted daughter, Pam Hollaway; and many special, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and hunting buddies. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Ira; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Maryann Stephenson.
