Obituary of Jerry L. Thomas

Of Flint, age 77, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Brian's House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 10:30 am, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor James Harvey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park with Graveside Military Honors conducted by the American Legion #158. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 9:30 am until time of service at 10:30 am. Jerry was born October 27, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garold and Myrtle (Bogner) Thomas. He and Patricia Fay Beebe were united in marriage May 15, 1965. He worked at Fischer 1 in Flint and was a member of the UAW. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia; six children, Jason and wife, Sue Zarins, Robert Zarins, Taryn Zarins, Rick Harvey, Carrie and husbnad, Dennis King and Bob Harvey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, four brothers, Dave, Larry, John and Steve Thomas; five sisters, Sally, Diana, Carol, Linda and Sue; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul.
