Obituary of Mary Ann Lowell

Of Mt. Morris, age 74, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Covenant Health Care-Cooper. The funeral service will take place 4:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Mr. Lon Varner will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Clio Art Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary was born January 8, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell and Emma (Lagness) Howard. She and Charles Lowell were united in marriage on October 13, 1956. She enjoyed painting, teaching others to paint, scrapbooking and collecting, especially friends. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Charles; two daughters, Laurie and husband, Darrell Stinson and Linda and husband, Tim Hinkin; two grandchildren, Douglas and wife, Ashley Stinson and Karen and husband, Edwin Miller; one great-grandson, Gavin Miller; two brothers, Maxwell and wife, Kathy Howard and James and wife, Virginia Howard; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
