Obituary of Carol Sue Corey

Of Mt Morris, age 70, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Keith Childerhose will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Carol's family will be present at the Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church on Wednesday, to receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the church. Carol was born January 30, 1941 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude and Marjorie (Gordon) Morey. She and Reginald Corey were united in marriage September 22, 1961. Carol enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching formula one racing, superbikes, Nascar, sports and Lifetime movies, scrapbooking, listening to music and was known for being a fantastic seamstress. Left to cherish her memory are husband, Reginald; three children, Vivian, Judson and Rhoda Corey; six grandchildren, Christina Miller-Bellor, Stephanie Miller, Robby Miller, Jessica Wolverton, Jennifer Schneider and Jon Corey; five great-grandchildren, Jahmon and Jayla Barron-Miller, Alejandro Sarmiento-Miller, Joseph Bellor and Paige Wolverton; mother, Marjorie Gordon; four siblings, Sharon Olinger, Ron Morey, Dennis Morey and Dawn Morey; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Gordon Morey.
