Of Mt. Morris, age 84, died peacefully, with his family by his side, Monday, December 26, 2011, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Legion Post # 158. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Ray was born May 8, 1927, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray and Ruth (Mildred) Suffel. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Ray and Louella Brochu- Gage were united in marriage April 8, 1978. He worked for over 30 years at Fisher Body I until his retirement. Ray enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and playing BINGO.
Ray leaves to cherish his memory, son David and wife, Avalene Suffel; daughter-in-law, Adrienne Suffel; ex-daughter-in-law, Terry Lewis; three granddaughters, Shannon, Gina and Shawnacee Suffel; three great-grandchildren, Jylena, Jasmyn and Bella; two brothers, Chuck Suffel, and Carl and wife, Mary Suffel; two step-daughters, Dianne and husband, Bruce Tite, and Mary Ann and husband, Jim Lintz; and many step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louella, son, Edwin, and three brothers, Earl, Larry, and Don.
