Of Alma, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 93, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at Tendercare Health Care Center of Frankenmuth. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Chaplain Carol Wesolek will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Georgia's family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive friends from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm with a O.E.S Order of the Eastern Stars service at 7:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Love Inc., 3444 Lennon Rd., Suite 1, Flint, Michigan 48507. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Georgia was born April 24, 1918, in Durand, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forest and Mamie (Wiening) Martin. She and Earl Jay Sautter were united in marriage in November 1940, in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death November 12, 1986. Georgia was a member of Order of the Eastern Star of Mt. Morris and an active Girl Scout member for 30 years, volunteered at Crossroads Village playing the organ at church.
Left to cherish her memory are five children, Sharon and husband, James Odette, Gregory and wife, Eva Sautter, Carol and husband, Bruce Boultinghouse, Christine White and David and wife, Vicki Sautter; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Norma Pearson;
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Allen White.
