Obituary of Neoma Hart

Of Mt. Morris, age 85, died Friday, January 20, 2012, at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Bill Caverly will officiate with burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Monday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Neoma was born September 8, 1926 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Olive (Alexander) Shaw. She and Loris Hart were united in marriage August 2, 1943; he preceded her in death April 17, 2005. Neoma was a devoted Christian and volunteered much of her time to the church and to the community. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Judy and husband, Ralph Miller of Silver City, New Mexico, Linda and late husband, David Davis of Mt. Morris, Gail Wilkins of Winchester, Virginia, Brenda Eiler of Kalamazoo, and Kelly Kesten of Clio; seven grandchildren, David, Bob, Brent, Amy, Ryan, Lori, and Daniel; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Larkin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Loris Hart; grandson, R. Hunter Wilkins; two brothers, Edward and Leo Shaw; and one sister, Phyllis Thompson.
