Obituary of Rhea Meade

Of Mt. Morris, age 86, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at her home, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Reverend Thomas Williams will officiate with burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Rhea was born June 26, 1925, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude and Bessie (LeLand) Rounds. She and Leroy Meade were united in marriage January 1, 1945; he preceded her in death January 5, 1986. Rhea worked at A.C. Spark Plug, as well as being a nurses aide and an apartment complex manager. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4090 Montrose. Rhea will be remembered for her social and loving ways. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Harriet McIntee, Bonnie Travis and Gary Meade and girlfriend, Felicia Hamper; six grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Sonja and husband, James, Brian, Tina and husband, Jay and Tammy; 13 great-grandchildren; seven adopted grandchildren; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Leroy Meade; and son, Rev. Richard Meade.
