Obituary of Samuel Eugene Langworthy

Of Flint, age 57, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Brother Jerry F. Stoner will officiate with burial to follow in Gracelawn Cemetery. Samuel's family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday to receive friends from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Samuel "Mule" was born October 27, 1954 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Evelyn (Alsteen) Langworthy. He worked at General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of UAW Local # 651. Samuel enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, going hunting, fishing and to the casinos, watching sports and westerns. Left to cherish his memory are five children, Jeremy (Stacey) Langworthy, Chad (Stephanie) Langworthy, Eric (Natalie) Hart, Radeshia (Wendell) Derosia, Zachary (Brittany) Hart; nine grandchildren, Chandler, Kyle, Shyanne, Shailee, Peyton, Shaylin, Connor, Avayah, Wendell; granddaughter on the way, Samantha; girlfriend of 30 years, Cindy Hart; four siblings, Gwen and Larry Fink, John (Ellen) Langworthy, Della Ann Langworthy, Agnes (Ron) Langworthy; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, uncle, Eugene of Wisconsin, uncle, Herb of Mt. Morris.
