Obituary of Barbara LeTourneau

Of Mt. Morris, age 77, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Flint. The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. On Thursday, Jean will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:30 am until time of service at 10:00 am. Jean was born May 11, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas Soliey and Esther Schuchardt. She and William LeTourneau Sr. were united in marriage September 3, 1960. She worked for St. Pius Catholic Church for 18 years as a cook, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, gardening and coloring with her grandkids. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Elanna Root and life partner Kandy Kelly, Joan and husband, Bill Combs II, Bill and wife, Tonja LeTourneau Jr., Michael LeTourneau, Mary Lynn Gillespie, and Terry and husband, Edwin Rogers; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Krueger, Doris and husband, Howard Ron; brother, Walt and wife Noreen Schuchardt; family friend, Donna Perez; and many other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; mother; sisters, Elsie and Mary; brother, Art and wife, Toots; and many other dear family members.
