Obituary of Paul M. Lefurgey

Of Flushing, age 68, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Friday night, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. Mary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Paul was born April 26, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Kathryn (Weaver) Lefurgey. He worked for Parker Hannifin for 20 years; retiring in 2005. Paul was a private pilot, who built his own plane and flew out of Dalton Airport in Flushing. He was a proud alumnus from Michigan State University, Class of 1965. Further, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for most of his life. Paul enjoyed spending time with his 10 grandchildren. He could also be found socializing with his many friends in the Flushing area.
Paul leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Paul and wife, Tami Lefurgey and Mathew and wife, Mary Lefurgey; two daughters, Kristi and husband, Mark Porrell and Lindsay and husband, Jerome White; 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Parker, Allison, Sam, Connor, Tyler, Grace, Lukas, and Elaina; three sisters, Ruth Ann and husband, Pete Gaylord, Dianne and husband, Ron Blake, and Martha Lefurgey; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
