Obituary of Jose Luis Castellanos

Of Flint, age 49, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Forrest Lawn Memorial-Park in Long Beach, California. Jose's family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday to recieve friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jose was born February 7, 1963, in Santa Cruz de la Soledad, Jalisco, Mexico the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas and Herlinda (Sandoval De) Castellanos, Sr. Jose moved to Michigan in 1992. He worked at Huckelberry Junction for 20 years. Jose enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved to laugh and make others laugh, listening to music, cooking, dancing, fishing, drawing, camping and traveling to Mexican Town respecting his heritage. Left to cherish his memory are two children: Luis Andres Castellanos and Monic and husband, Brian Castellanos; seven siblings: Rosalva Gonzalez, Rosa M. Sanchez, Ramon Castellanos, Francisco Castellanos, J. Jamie Castellanos, Maria J, Castellanos and Nocolas Castellanos, Jr.; one granddaughter; many nieces, nephews; special friends: Michael Joubran and family, Todd, Stephanie (Bays) Babcock and Jordan Babcock who was very dear to Jose's heart and Dena Stevens and family. Jose was preceded in death by his father, Nicolas and his brother, Vincente. The family would like to extend a special thank you the the staff at McLaren-Flint Hospital for the care they gave.
