Obituary of Doris I. Nolff

Of Clio, age 88, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Avalon Hospice, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, April 20, 2012, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the North Flushing Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Doris was born December 14, 1923, in Reed City, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen and Nina (Gruber) Chambers. She and Cecil Nolff were united in marriage March 12, 1941 in Fife Lake, Michigan.
Doris enjoyed reading, traveling, and most of all, her family; she will be greatly missed.
Doris leaves to cherish her memory, nine children, including five daughters, Sandra and husband, Frank Hindbaugh, Marilyn and husband, Fred Ruhala, Darba and husband, Gary Dye, Carol and husband, Rod Wigginton, and Jill and husband, Pat Groulx; four sons, Cecil Jr. "Bud" and wife, Cheryl Nolff, Harland "Buz" and wife, Sue Nolff, Allen "Butch" and wife, Cindy Nolff, Marshall "Marty" and wife, Peggy Nolff; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, with two on the way; sister, Luella Schneider; brothers, Gene Chambers and Vernon Gruber; daugher-in-law, Ann Nolff; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Cecil, Sr.; son, Darrel "Shorty" Nolff; grandson, Adam Nolff; and two brothers, Glen and Arthur Chambers.
