Of Mt. Morris, age 78, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. Vicar Ben Schrank will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Jug's family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive friends from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Youth Programs at Messiah Lutheran Church or West Side Baptist Church.
Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Jug was born July 4, 1933, in Corinth, Mississippi, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.B. and Hester (Eaton) Willingham. He and Joann Keinath were united in marriage July 28, 1951. Jug worked for General Motors Truck and Buss for 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting and watching TV.
Left to cherish his memory, wife Joann; two sons, Ervin (Irene) and David (Jeni); eight grandchildren, Lee (LeAnn), David Ray (Tiffany), Jason (Amy), Christie (Todd), Jeff (Gina), Jeremy (Amy), Melissa (Alex) and James (Christa); 22 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Marshall (Maryjane), Wilodean, Betty (Charlie), Elaine, Sam and numerous friends.
Jug's family would like to extend a thank you to special niece, Sherri for all the love and care she gave him.
Jug was preceded in death by his parents.
