Obituary of Kenneth Huppman

Age 68, of Genesee, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan. Ken was born February 7, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond P. and Helen D. (Cole) Huppman. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Saturday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home for an Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service at 6:45pm, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 pm conducted under the auspices of the Welfare Masonic Lodge # 517 F. & A. M. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Ken graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1964. He worked for General Motors in Lake Orion, for several years until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of UAW Local # 599 and a long time member and past Worshipful Master 2006 of the Welfare Masonic Lodge #517 in Genesee. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends that were considered family, building model airplanes, shooting pool and looking at antique cars. Left to cherish his memory, his sister, Cheryl (Huppman) and husband, Mike Vansickle; nephew, Eric and wife, Diane Chapelle; two nieces, Wendy (Chapelle) and husband, Matt Hyder and Marcy (Chapelle) and husband, David Fischer; six great-nephews, Nolan, Joshua and wife, Tiffani, Nathan, Derek, Mack and Tyler; one great-niece, Alyssa; great great-niece, Megan; three great great-nephews, Dawson, Nickolai and Alan. Ken was preceded in death by his father and mother.
