Obituary of Carolyn Farr

Of Flint, age 73, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Avalon Hospice. The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Chaplain Vincent Nader will officiate with burial to follow in Elk Township Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 9, 2012, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. Carolyn was born January 7, 1939, in Peck, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce and Luella (Reagan) Farr. Carolyn was a school teacher for Beecher Schools for 31 years. She was a devout Christian and loved sharing her faith with others. She also liked spending time with her family and friends, especially at family gatherings. Carolyn will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are siblings, Margie Starkey, Forrest Farr, William Farr, and James and wife, Ellen Farr; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Brent Farr and Luella Jay (Reagan) Farr; sister, Mary Lou Karnes; infant sister, Bonnie Ann; and niece, Monica Karnes.
