I have not seen Betty in the last few years, but she was a Blessing and Help to myself and Dana and Irene back in the 80's when my life was in turmoil. I know the Lord is smiling as a new Angel has arrived. Thanks Betty for singing for us when you were having lives daily trials. We loved you for it. Rest in Peace.

I am without words as to how I feel with the news of Betty passing on but I will try to explain how I feel and tell you my story.
I am now 36 years old, but when I first met her, I was 4 yrs old. She was my Sunday School Teacher, and even at times a babysitter to my sister Irene and I when my mother Nancy needed help.
In part, as with everyone else, I know I am selfish to be sad that she has passed which is only human nature. No more running into her at the grocery store or Family Dollar from time to time where she would sing to me in the middle of the store, and not quietly mind you. She did love to sing, and I loved to hear it and neither of us cared who was listening. She would then pray with me before we said good-bye and send me off with her love for my family and self.
In majority though, I am so happy for her! And I know this is how she would want me to feel. She was a wonderful Christian woman who spread God's word and did his work selflessly while she was here. Volunteering where she can and when she can, traveling around singing the Lord's praise wherever she was needed.
I am so Happy for her, she was a true Angel who has finally been released from this world to be with her Father in Heaven as which was promised to her when she accepted him into her life and into her heart.
God Bless you Betty, you will always be a part of our hearts forever.

Aunt Betty loved SINGING. She shared her God-given voice her entire life.
She and her sisters, brothers and father would sing and harmonize at our family gatherings. Aunt Betty would sing for senor citizens, weddings, church services, church programs and other organizations that wanted to hear her beautiful voice. When we would talk to her on the phone, she would pray with us and for us and always sing a song for us. We love her dearly and will miss her greatly.
She loved butterflies. Joan, her niece.
