MANN, Hope E. of Mt Morris died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at McLaren
Flint. Following Hope's wishes, her body has been donated to Michigan
State University College of Human Medicine. Hope was born December 9, 1938, in Clio, Michigan, the daughter of
Harold and Goldie (Schlosser) Ackerman. She and Jim Mann were united in marriage on October 8, 1956. Hope and Jim owned and operated Stein Haus Restaurant in Frankenmuth for 11 years and went on to own and operate Crystal Connection in the Genesee Valley Mall for 15 years. Hope enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known for the loving care she lavished on every one of them. In her free time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Left to cherish her memory are five children, Shelley and husband, Greg Pease, Jeffrey and wife, Debbie Mann, Dayna Fisher, Christopher Mann and Heather and husband, Mark Gerics; eleven grandchildren, Brian, Stacy, Rebecka, Greg, Stephanie and husband, Ryan, Todd, Devery and wife, Kayla, Steven, Brendt and wife, Caitlin, Shaughn and Hannah; six great-grandchildren, Sydnee, Rylee, Amanda, Nevaeh, Gavin and Eva; sisters, Kay Mowery and Lee Howard; brother, John Ackerman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; son-in-law, Greg Fisher and two sisters, Sue Bullock and Donna McDonald.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 30, at West Vienna United Methodist Church, 5485 West Wilson Road, Clio, Michigan 48420.
