Obituary of Patrick T. Moran

Of Mt. Morris, age 65, died Sunday, August 26, 2012. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Patrick's family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Wednesday evening family and friends will gather for the scripture service at 7:00pm. Patrick was born June 20, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Margery (Slattery) Moran. He graduated from St. Mary Catholic School in 1965. Patrick proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War before receiving his honorable discharge. Patrick enjoyed hunting and fishing; and making knives from deer horns. Left to cherish her memory are mother, Margery Moran; siblings; William Moran , Lawrence and wife, Elizabeth, Charlene and husband, J. Carruthers Glasgow, Sheila and husband, Carl Thomas, special brother, Reno and wife, Ann Palomo, Bridget and husband, Charles Slovak, Kathleen and husband, Larry Hoon, Mary Jo Roke and; many nieces, nephews and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, brother, Michael Moran.
