Obituary of Patricia Bowen

Passed away peacefully into God's Eternal Kingdom after a very long but brave battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and life long friends. Patricia was born October 27, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Bertie (Anderson) Pruett. Patricia is the loving wife of Darrell A. Bowen of 11 years. She grew up with her wonderful brothers, Dennis, Roger Johnny Pruett and the late Michael and her amazing sisters, Janise Kazee and Martha Pruett. Patricia lived a full and vibrant life. She loved to dance, cook, swim and pamper herself. She loved playing with kids and teaching Sunday school. Her favorite thing to do was going to Back to the Bricks in their 1966 Lincoln. But more importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory, special nieces, Nikole and Dakota Pruett; very special nephew, James Pruett special family members, Karen and Vickie Pruett; longtime friends, Amber LaFerney and George Cuthbert and friend Judy Eastridge, step-daughter, Kavondra and step-grandchildren, Kavaran and Kavayah Rayford, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her best friend, Cindy Weatherford and mother-in-law, Gloria Rayford. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Patricia's family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive friends from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family fund..
