Obituary of Doris Reeves

Of Clio, age 84, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Arthur Lee will officiate. Private burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm, Saturday, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sunday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Birchwood Meadows Activities Department. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Doris was born April 4, 1928, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Luetta (Cragg) Preston. She and Marvin Reeves were united in marriage September 1, 1951. She worked at AC Spark Plug for 30 years, until her retirement, in May of 1980. She was a member of the UAW #659. Left to cherish her memory, is daughter,Wanda Dicaire, and Jim; grandchildren, Tony and wife, Kim Stockton, Duane and wife, Hiskao Burk, Michelle Burk and Tim Pulley, and Bobby and wife, Judy Burk; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marjory Hayes, Clarence and wife, Muriel Preston, Leroy and wife,Frances Preston, Margaret Preston and Carol Dickinson, many nieces and nephews; special friends, Iona Folcik, Dennis Martin, Mike Tabit and Julie and Joe Zeglevski; and bingo comapnion Joyce Flynn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; two children, Hazel and Eleanor; 2 brothers and 1 sister. The family would like to thank the staff of Birchwood Meadows, Cranberry Park and Serenity for all the care they gave Doris.
