Obituary of Ruth Dawn Fogelsonger

Of Clio, age 91, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Homewood Village Assisted Living. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, September 21, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Alonzo Vincent will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. On Friday, Ruth will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimers Association or American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Ruth was born August 9, 1921, in Mt. Morris, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Mabel (Berry) Hilsinger. She and Lloyd Fogelsonger were united in marriage on February 22, 1955. Ruth worked for Citizens Bank in Mt. Morris for 15 years. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris. She was active in the Abigail Circle and volunteered for many activities at the church. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Joseph, Paul and wife, Sharon, and Jon Fogelsonger; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; two sisters and one brother.
