Obituary of Jack D. Aure

Of Caro, age 70, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at McLaren- Lapeer Region. The funeral service will take place Monday, September 24, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Jack was born September 3, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin and Joy (Lunde) Aure. Locally educated, he graduated from Flint Central High School before going to college to earn his business degree. In 1958, Jack joined the Marines and proudly served his country for four years while serving a full tour in Vietnam. He would later become a dealer at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas before starting his 32 year long career at General Motors. Throughout his life, Jack had many hobbies and interests including trains, golfing with his friends, bowling, playing pool with his grandson, playing cards and dice, and watching wrestling and "Quincy the Medical Examiner" on T.V. Jack also enjoyed spending time with his best companion, Dooley, his dog, nit picking, telling jokes, and spending time with friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are; mother, Joy Aure; friend, Diane DeNike; daughter, Kalyn and husband, Michael Aure; grandchildren, Kraig, Tyler, and Delilah; brothers, Dale and wife, Laurie Aure, and Jerry Burkland; uncle, Manford; niece, Malisa; sister-in-law, Rene'e Tilley; best friend, Roger, and several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Craig Aure; brother, Larry Aure; granddaughter, Keira DeNike; and nephew John Aure.
