Obituary of Scott Jordan Shepard

Of Mt.Morris, age 26, died Sunday, October 14, 2012. The funeral service will take place Saturday, October 20, at 11:00am at Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Nelson will officiate with a private burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at the funeral home Friday October 19, from noon to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a family fund which will go to a charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Scott was born May 30, 1986, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Scott Shepard and Beverly Adams. He was educated locally through Swartz Creek High School and went on to take classes at Baker College. Scott was a loving, sensitive, and kind person that was always loyal to friends and family. He was known to be very athletic and loved to play football. Scott was also a history buff and he enjoyed watching the Discovery and History Channels. As a young boy, he enjoyed volunteering at bible school and Sunday school through Swartz Creek First Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are mother, Beverly Adams; father, Scott Shepard; sisters, Sarah, Nikki, Irene; nephews, Dylan and Kyle; special people, Lauren Stacey and Beckham; grandparents Phyllis and Steve Adams, and Helen Shepard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sott was preceeded in death by his grandfather, Robert Shepard and uncles, Stephen Adams and Robert Shepard II.
