Obituary of Ann Marie O'Brien

Of Clio, age 92, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Crystal River Health and Rehab in Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends will gather at 6:00 pm to pray the Rosary. On Wednesday, Ann will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Ann was born October 30, 1919 in Montrose, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher and Mary (Flannigan) Moran. She and Cajetan O'Brien were united in marriage in April of 1943. Ann founded the Holy Cross Church Goods Store, and served as owner for 15 years, until her retirement. She also sold real estate for Marian Realty in Clio. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Karen and husband, Charles Demicoli; two granddaughters, Ann Rosin and Molly McElhone; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Emily McElhone; sister-in-law, Margorie Moran; and several nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Mary McCarthy, Charles Moran, and Edward Moran.
