Obituary of Rosemary Hill

Of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Caretel of Linden. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Old Calvary. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosay at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, Rosemary will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Mt. Morris Library. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Rosemary was born January 1, 1925, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve and Edith (Monroe) Carson. She and George Hill Sr. were united in marriage August 29, 1942 in Champaign, Illinois. She worked at the Mt. Morris Library for 15 years. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Garth and wife, Theda Hill, Cherie and husband, Michael Reilly, and George and wife, Susan Hill; grandchildren, Gregory Hill, Kimberly Hill-Lowry, Michele Reilly Thomas, Karina Corradi, Kelly Robinson, Jennifer Eskridge, Melissa Morley, Cassandra Wright, and Matthew Hill; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, grandson, Grant Hill and great-granddaughter, Annah Hill.
